Joel Hensley was born and raised in the Shenandoah Valley. He received his bachelor degree in Political Science from James Madison University and worked as a legislative aide in the Virginia House of Delegates for six years. He is currently pursuing a masters degree at Virginia Commonwealth University while owning and operating a small business just outside of Richmond.
